Accountant (Insurance FinOps, Fresh grad welcome!)

About the Role

You will be working in a fast-paced organization that promotes cross-functional collaboration to support and drive the operations of the finance team.

Your  Key Responsibilities Include:

• Handle daily accounting operations including AP, AR, and bank reconciliations
• Prepare the journals and assist with month-end/year-end closing
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of data by preparing monthly reconciliations
• Utilize Microsoft Excel, or other tools to streamline FinOps processes and enhance efficiency.
• Assist other ad-hoc tasks as assigned

For more experienced candidates:

• opportunity to step-up and handle further finance responsibilities such as management reporting, budgeting and forecasting, regulatory matters including compliance, tax, and internal control

The success of this role will be measured by:

• timeliness and accuracy of tasks
• cross-team collaboration feedback

About you

• 1 Year of Accounting or Finance Experience (Fresh graduates will be considered as well)
• Bachelor's Degree - related discipline preferred but not required
• A positive and open-minded attitude
• Ability to work well in a team
• Strong communication skills - Bilingual fluency in Chinese (Cantonese) and English
• High proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office

And, the following qualifications are preferred but not essential

• Python scripting
• Prior experience in Sun System
• Prior work experience in a financial institution (candidate with prior experiences may be considered for an Accountant II role)
