Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.
Responsibility
- Support review of risk events, incidents trend and/or significant incidents
- Timely coordination and completion of the unit’s RCSA programme and to enhance the risk identification and assessment process
- Coordinate within the unit for new products review and assessment
- Support other risk related local or regional projects
- Collate, monitor and report KRIs for the unit
- Tracking of risk issues and actions completion status
- Collaborate with the Operations unit to complete regulatory submission as well as other internal tasks related to operational risk management such as annual risk approval and new products approval
- Participate and/ or coordinate with the Operations units to implement the unit’s related compliance review/ regulatory assessment as well as local & regional risk initiatives
- Support the team to ensure timely preparation of all monthly and ad-hoc risk reporting in compliance with appropriate standards for the various location/ regional risk committees
- Ensure timely implementation of corporate operational risk policies and standards within the Unit and assist operations teams to identify, report and address any gaps
- Assist in the management oversight of DPS Committee and tasks related to Deposit Protection Scheme regulatory reporting
- Promote risk culture awareness, including ensuring risk and control training plans are established and conducted within the unit
- Share of operational risk best practices
Requirement
- University Graduate or above in Accounting, Finance, Banking or Business-related
- Relevant certification such as Associate Operational Risk Management Professional (AORP) preferred
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in banking, preferably in operations control function, compliance, audit and/or exposure in risk management (candidates with less experience would be considered for the Senior Associate position)
- Knowledge and experience in operations processes and controls
- Ability to provide balanced perspective between business expediency and risk & control
- Ability to communicate effectively and coordinate with different stakeholders for timely deliverables
- Self-motivated with strong analytical mind and creative thinking
- Good problem-solving skills
- Good inter-personal and communication skills in both English and Chinese
- Excellent PC knowledge and skills
