Boarding Officer

Our client, one of leading providers of technology driven maritime solutions for ship owners, is now looking for a high calibre for the position of Boarding Officer joining its Hong Kong office. Below is the relevant job description:

Job Highlights:

• Perform vessels' compliance with sub-coordinates.
• Knowledge in the Hong Kong Shipping Ordinance.
• Minimum 1 year of sea-going experience and 2 years shore-based experience.
• Salary can be up to HKD35,000 per month.

Job Responsibilities:

• Attends all vessels, including international cruises in Hong Kong and southern China to ensure that they are in compliance with all pre-arrival and departure formalities.
• Supervises and coordinates with sub-contractors, consignees / surveyors or other local parties related to vesse / cargo operations, bunkering, crew change, crew medical assistance, spare parts shipment / delivery Cash-To-Master.
• Compiles and submits port disbursement account to Principals / Owners for reimbursement.
• Reports timely the work progress to Principals / Owners / Management of the company.

Job Requirements:

• Form 5 or above
• Minimum 2 years related shore-based experiences in Shipping and Operation fields
• General knowledge in the Hong Kong Shipping Ordinance
• Good command of written and spoken English, Chinese and Mandarin
• Customer focus, good interpersonal and negotiating skills
• Computer literate with emphasis on MS Office and Excel
