Job Description - Business Development Manager

Qualifications & experience

  • Degree holder preferable in Business or Logistics management.
  • Min. 5 years of sales or account servicing experience in transport logistics industry.
  • Knowledgeable in e-platforms, cross-border eCommerce, and air freight forwarding.
  • Proficient in both English and Chinese.
  • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Business mind-set, flexible, with can-do attitude.
  • Show drive to find solutions.
  • Able to work in teams with multi-cultural environment.
  • Business trips to China are required.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • To prospect, analyze, and recommend business solutions to major accounts from e-platforms, consolidators and direct e-sellers.
  • To make sales plan and meet the sales targets given by the company, ensuring continuous growth and maximizing returns.
  • To obtain information of market trends and customer needs, therefore providing insights to the management, with recommendations.
  • To establish business pipeline in parallel with sales plan, ensuring sales force efficiency and healthy new business development in line with sales and strategic plans.
  • To maintain regular contact and follow up with existing accounts, for maximum retention and sustainable business relationship.
  • To analyze trading portfolio and identify threat and opportunity.
  • Assist in business development activities related to logistics and warehousing.
  • Manage and coordinate special services relating to warehousing, local transport and airfreight as required.
  • Provide weekly sales updates and report and prepare for quarterly reviews.
