Credit Control Manager

Job Summary:

The role involves assisting the department head in credit control activities to recover overdue payments, handle problematic accounts, and address potential delinquencies. The main objective is to minimize risk during the loan recovery process and maximize the company's overall recovery.

 

Duties

• Monitor and follow up on overdue accounts, problematic accounts, and potential delinquencies.
• Supervise overall collection activities and monitor progress of collection activities.
• Carry out appropriate collection activities in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
• Negotiate with delinquent clients to reach settlements and address rescheduling issues.
• Coordinate inspections with the Credit Team if necessary.
• Assist the department head in efficiently monitoring the progress of collateral disposal.
• Attend creditors meetings and court hearings for winding up or bankruptcy cases, and report to management.
• Collaborate with external parties such as legal firms, repossession agents, surveyors, debt collectors, and auction houses. Monitor their performance and evaluate incurred costs.
• Track and follow up on legal proceedings in both Hong Kong and the People's Republic of China.
• Liaise with representatives from relevant official bureaus (e.g., HKMA, Official Receiver, Consumer Council, Police Force, CIS) to ensure legal compliance.
• Support the Department Head in preparing credit risk-related reports and compile monthly activity reports.
• Ad hoc assignment if any

 

Requirements

• Degree holder or above, major in Finance, Commerce or related discipline
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in Financial Analysis/ Payment / Debtors company
• Experience in managing collection projects for SME, credit loans or offline loans 
• Familiar with relevant laws related to collection business
• Good negotiation and communication skills and agile thinking
• Honest, trustworthy, strong sense of responsibility, and a team player with high work enthusiasm
• Possess good professional ethics and risk awareness, and strong goal orientation
