Junior Credit Analyst

Our expanding credit team is seeking a energetic, self-motivated and highly driven team player. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, have basis credit risk assessment knowledge, and be capable of thriving in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.

 

The role:

• Reporting to Credit Manager, provide comprehensive credit analysis and reviews of clients including annual and initial to assess the creditworthiness of the clients;
• Able to analyze and generate credit, financial and management reports;
• Undertake ad-hoc credit-related projects when required such as portfolio review, industry/sector review;
• Provide credit support to bunker teams;
• Maintain the credit system and ensure that credit policies and processes are complied with; and
• Any other ad hoc duties as assigned.

 

Key accountabilities:

• Good attention to details with strong analytical background;
• Strong financial and cashflow analysis skills;
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel and Outlook;
• Good verbal and written communication skills in Chinese (including Cantonese and Mandarin) and English;
• Good documentation and organization skills;
• Self-motivated, good team player and able to meet timelines; and
• Ability to think for himself/herself and to develop new solutions/reports from scratch

 

Qualifications and experience:

• Recognized bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics or related fields;
• Must have experience in analyzing financial reports and accounting with a keen interest in the oil and shipping markets; and
• At least 1-2 years of relevant work experiences, experiences in accounts payable, accounting and credit application processing would be valuable.
