Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of integrated initiatives for new products and product-related opportunities within and across multiple categories to achieve company financial and business objectives. Develop strategic assessments of categories and provides consultation to regional offices to support the achievement of Starbucks’ financial and business objectives.

 

Summary of Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for defining, implementing and validating multiple product categories including food & beverages and retail lobby plans. 
  • Manage the category budget & lifecycle, forecast, P&L plan and performance metrics against sales and operating margin targets.
  • Leverage research & understanding of markets and customer habits to project potential opportunities and threats.
  • Drive decisions and recommendations in line with Local and regional Starbucks brand standards and customer journeys. Develop products to create brand differentiation and brand uniqueness.
  • Lead integrated launch programs with cross-functions internally & externally, including product direction & lifecycle, marketing plans and store operations and supply chain requirements to ensure the best available costs, timing and quality. Implementation of category strategies, product and promotion plans and initiatives with visual marketing merchandising and visual communications partners.
  • Develop, manage and track project budgets, timelines and processes from kickoff to execution. Establish and maintain processes to ensure effective and timely development and execution of programs within defined budget constraints.
  • Lead effort to track program and product performance, gather consumer insights and evaluate program effectiveness. Share findings with management and other departments and integrate findings into future activities and initiatives.

 

Summary of Experience

  • At least 8-10 years of experience in product marketing in F&B, FMCG or retail environment, hands-on exposure in creating or contributing to marketing and product plans, leading or assisting in the development of product concepts, from conception through implementation
  • Proven strong leadership skills with experience in leading 3-4 sub-ordinates

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related discipline
  • Strong team player with strong leadership, organization, communication, and project management skills
  • Creative and open-minded, with ability to work independently
  • Fluent in both Chinese and English and proficient in MS applications
