Responsibilities

The localization manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing localization efforts of app and web UIs and general L10N requests. Working closely with Product, Design, Dev, UX writers, Marketing and Ops teams, the localization manager is expected to be proactive and address all stakeholders' painpoints, manage localization projects in an economical way with quality assured via effective quality control strategies. 【Responsibilities】 1. Manage localization of software/website UI and maintain vendors & language assets 2. Ensure quality of social app products and highly visible materials through quality assurance and bug fixing, taking a hands-on approach as necessary 3. Understand challenges in the localization process, lead language quality improvement initiatives and system/tool optimization with developers 4. Develop and maintain knowledge base for localization team 5. Participate in other localization-related initiatives and proactively contribute ideas and suggestions for i improvement [Job Responsibilities] 1. Work closely with multiple teams to efficiently support the localization needs and appeals of product/design/development/UX writer/marketing/operations teams 2. Manage software/website multi-language localization projects and manage them simultaneously Suppliers and language assets 3. Ensure the multi-lingual quality of app products & highly visible text assets, implement quality assurance processes, fix problems, and be mentally prepared to be hands-on at all times 4. Understand the processes and challenges of the localization industry, and Carry out quality improvement projects on a larger scale, and work with the development team to produce system/tool optimization solutions 5. Write and maintain localization team workflow documents and knowledge base 6. Participate in other localization-related matters and actively Provide localization solutions and improvement suggestions.

Qualifications

【Minimum qualifications】 1. Bachelor's degree, preferably in localization, language, journalism, business administration 2. 13 years of full -time translation project management with experience in using content management systems or enterprise translation management system (REQUIRED) 3. Comprehensive understanding of the software localization life cycle process to effectively manage through the complexities of product solutions 4. Knowledge of the language & localization industry and project management 5. Excellent command of English Mandarin fluency is a plus 6. Team player, objective-driven, detail-oriented, process-focused 7. Able to communicate confidently and effectively to stakeholders of all levels 【Preferred qualifications】 1. Master's degree 2. Experience in creative, localization, journalism, public communications or the online marketing/advertising industry 3. Knowledge of additional languages including German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Turkish, Korean, is a plus 4. Knowledge of technical related or data analytical skills, including Python, JavaScript, Regular Expression, Markdown, DITA, etc, is a plus [Job Requirements] 1. Bachelor degree, preferably in the following majors: language, journalism, business administration 2. 13 Years of full-time localization project management experience, experience in using content management platforms or enterprise-level translation management platforms 3. Understand the software localization process and industry knowledge, be proficient in project management, and be able to produce effective localization solutions 4. Both Chinese and English Can be used as a working language and has high mutual translation ability 5. Good cooperation, strong team sense, attention to details, goal-oriented 6. Familiar with the app localization process. [Extra points] 1. Postgraduate degree 2. Experience in transcreation/journalism/advertising industry 3. Have background and skills in Computer science or data analysis 4. Master a second foreign language, such as German/French/Russian/Turkish Chinese/Korean, etc.
