Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (三井住友銀行) (incorporated in Japan with limited liability) is one of the major international banks and a leading arranger of specialized financial products worldwide. The bank's Hong Kong Branch is now seeking high calibre individuals with long-term career objectives to apply for the following position:

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review and submit regulatory HKMA returns/surveys/GDR/financial disclosures according to completion instructions.
• Design and improve spreadsheets with good documentation to streamline return preparation process from data sources.
• Actively update and maintain the correctness of regulatory reporting attributes.
• Improve data quality and existing controls to ensure returns and surveys to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Document preparation procedure manuals for various banking returns and GDR for the sake of clarify and transparency.
• Liaise with different stakeholders within and outside the bank and answer their queries on time.

Requirements:

• Familiar with HKMA return completion instructions
• Prefer candidate with a university graduate major in accounting or finance
• HKICPA or equivalent preferred with 3 years of relevant banking experiences in a sizeable bank
• Good spoken and written Chinese and English for communications and documentation
• VBA macro skills preferred
• Project experience in system implementation desired
• Familiar with MS-Office applications
• Basic understanding of Japanese GAAP, IFRS, tax regulations and rules is an advantage
