Deputy Manager, Technical Solutions

JOB DESCRIPTION

Work as technical solutions manager, responsible for technical and engineering support from conceptual design stage to project handover. Work with in-house team and external partners to ensure timely delivery of the project and with budget.

Based in Shanghai (Travel will be required when such demand arises.)

• Draft project technical specification, planning, and follow-up under the supervision of technical director. Establish the project design proposal, project budget and project management strategy for reference during investment approval

• Acquire proposals/quotations from consultancy firms. Recommend and manage the Consultants to perform due diligence study, design development and cost estimate

• Provide assistance to project delivery team, including making enquiries and summarizing fee proposals from Consultants, Main and Sub-contractors and suppliers

• Organize regular meetings with Clients, Developers, Consultants, Main and Sub-contractors and Suppliers. Clarify technical enquiries in the course of project implementation

• Manager and follow up on technical solutions developed at the stage of investment approval Follow up on construction cost estimate and programme

• Provide technical support to Authority submission and approvals

• Technical Proposal: including technical and design proposal prepared for investment approval, risk analysis and mitigation, analysis of compliance with Client/industry standard, project budget and supporting evidences

• Provide support on technical solutions to the project delivery team.

• Work with site team to perform on-site testing and inspection. Timely communication with project manager with respect to site progress and non-compliance identified.

• Work closely with Clients, developers and Operation team to solve the technical issues at preliminary stage. Ensure timely handover from project team to Client, Developer and Operation team.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor of Engineering or above, HVAC engineering or relevant

• 5-10 years of mechanical system plan, design and consultancy experience for data centers

• Experiences with Local Design Institute, Engineering Consultancy Firms and Developers are preferred

• Work independently, be responsible, good communication skills and capability to work under pressure

• Master of Microsoft Office, MS Project and AutoCAD

• Fluent in English.

BUSINESS UNIT
