Global Banking and Markets – Global Markets (Interest Rate Trading Department)

We provide a full spectrum of treasury services to our customers, including foreign exchange, interest rate risk management, derivatives products, capital markets instruments, as well as market intelligence on global trends and key developments.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as  Head of Interest Rate Trading, Global Markets .

Principal responsibilities

• Lead Interest Rate Trading Team to achieve satisfactory result in terms of bank’s profitability and AOP.
• Formulate, drive and adapt new strategies and business initiatives.
• Oversee the operation of Interest Rate Trading and ensure the overall risk position is properly managed.
• Oversee the management of interest rate risk, credit risk and liquidity risk (non-exhaustive) arisen from the Interest Rate Trading business and ensure the respective risk exposures are properly controlled
• Supervise all activities conducted by the team to ensure GM’s operations are in compliance with rules and regulations
• Elevate fellows’ competency with respect to day-to-day operation and new business development
• Direct report to Head of Trading & help Global Markets-Interest Rate Trading in exploring and expanding further business opportunities.
• Build up good team work and enhance the professionalism of the team

Requirements

• University degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics or a related discipline
• Minimum 10 or more years of relevant experience in treasury management and trading in FX Rates & fixed income and derivatives.
• Stable and able to work under pressure
• Good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
• Proficiency in both English and Chinese, fluency in Putonghua
• Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective communication with top management and other departments
