The applicant must possess
- a recognized degree in construction related or safety related discipline, preferably with a professional qualification in relevant field
- a minimum of 10 years' post-qualification concrete experience in the construction field and in leading projects with a high standard in compliance with safety requirements and procurement procedures
- Hands-on experience in managing and supervising projects/works from planning / design stage to completion
- In-depth knowledge of project management principles, knowledge of construction works or materials will be a definite advantage
- Familiarity with safety and health standards
- Outstanding communication, presentation and negotiation skills and
- excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.

Duties include
- to support the Project Team in ensuring that all projects/works are carried out with the highest standard of safety in compliance with relevant regulations and standards, and completed successfully with the desired outcomes within the specified timelines and budgets
- to work with project owners, as well as internal support departments such as Corporate Safety, Estates Office, etc. to ensure that the progress and outcome of the project / works achieve the highest standard of safety and meet the required standard
- to liaise with vendors/contractors and monitor the progress from time to time to ensure that all projects/works are carried out in compliance with safety regulations and completed within the specified timelines and budgets
- to identify and mitigate risks that may arise during the course of the projects/works
- to assist in the development, implementation and review of project management policies, procedures and standards
- to keep the management, project owners and relevant internal support departments well informed of the progress of the projects/works and that all issues, especially safety, are addressed in a timely manner and
- to carry out any other duties as assigned by the Executive Director from time to time.
