Physical Education Officer II

Major Duties :

To perform teaching and related academic / administrative duties for the Physical Education (PE) modules of the Structured Whole Person Development (SWPD) Programme, PE core programmes and the sports training activities;

To support implementation and coordination of student projects and functions;

To organize sports recreation activities;

To act as Coach of Sports Teams and serve in various boards / committees / work groups as required; and

To liaise with counterparts in IVE campuses, Hong Kong Design Institute, Youth College, student unions, departments and external organizations for PE programmes and sports events.

Requirements :

A recognised degree in Physical Education / Sports / Sports Science or a relevant discipline with teaching practicum in school setting or equivalent;

The ability to coach at least 2 sports;

Good presentation, communication, teaching and facilitation skills;

Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, preferably with knowledge in Putonghua; and

Applicants having community networking / linkage with professional bodies would be an
advantage.

Notes :

Fresh graduate and final year students who will graduate in academic year 2023/2024 will also be considered.

Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.

The appointee(s) may be required to work irregular hours.

Applicants should state clearly which sport(s) they have taught / coached in the application.
