Assist attorneys in preparing and filing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and contracts.
Maintain and organize physical and electronic case files, including indexing, filing, and archiving documents.
Schedule appointments, hearings, and meetings for attorneys and clients, and manage attorney calendars.
Conduct legal research and gather relevant information from various sources.
Draft and proofread legal correspondence, memos, and other documents.
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in legal matters.
Coordinate and decide for depositions, witness interviews, and court appearances.
Prepare and distribute internal and external communications related to legal matters.
Handle administrative tasks, such as answering phone calls, managing incoming and outgoing mail, and maintaining office supplies.
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in legal studies is preferred.
Proven experience working as a legal secretary or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
