Currently expanding their operations in Asia, they are seeking a Senior Associate in Investment Operations to support the establishment of the new Regional Investment Operations team and oversee day-to-day trade operations across the region. Job Description

Job Description:The position will report to the Head of Investment Operations. The team has overall accountability for all investment operations activities and the design of end-to-end investment operations processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for executing daily operational tasks encompassing trade support, settlements, investigation of failed trades, asset servicing, cash management, reconciliation, securities lending, and collateral management throughout the APAC region.
• Assist in the management of vendors, including broker and custodian onboarding, conducting custodian evaluations, and providing oversight.
• Provide support in the design and documentation of trade operations processes, data flow, and integration touchpoints with business units and external service providers.
• Continuously evaluate and enhance operational processes to drive increased automation and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including local business units, portfolio managers, traders, legal and compliance, technology, and external vendors, to optimize operational processes and facilitate business growth.

The Successful Applicant

Job Requirements:

• University Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• 4 to 8 years of work experience in trade operations with a deep understanding of the trade process life cycle. Must have extensive exposure to equities, fixed income, derivatives, and money market operations in investment firms or banks.
• Show a sound knowledge of the Hong Kong and Southeast Asia markets, including the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
