(a) To manage various computer laboratories, design studios and workshops (audio-visual system and tools);
(b) To install, repair and maintain computer software and hardware, administer department’s servers and IP network and provide all-round IT technical and workshop support for staff and students;
(c) To provide audio-visual (photography, moving images) and desktop publishing support for campus-based activities;
(d) To assist in the procurement and inventory control of equipment and consumables; and
(e) To provide technical support and demonstration for student projects and to keep the laboratories/workshops safe, clean and tidy. Requirements:
(a) (i) A recognised higher diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or related disciplines, plus 1 year’s relevant work experience; OR
(ii) A recognised diploma or higher certificate in Information Technology, Computer Science or related disciplines; plus at least 2 years’ relevant work experience;
(b) Good knowledge of operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of computer hardware and networking;
(c) Experience / knowledge / skills in any of the following areas:

(i) Administration of Windows, Linux and VM Server;
(ii) LAN / WAN technology and TCP / IP;
(iii) Computer graphics design and video editing;
(iv) Operation and maintenance of model-making machines;

(d) Good work initiative; good problem-solving; good interpersonal and communication skills in English and Chinese; and
(e) Experience in the 3D software and printing would have an advantage. Notes:
(1) Shortlisted candidate(s) may be required to attend a trade test.
(2) Candidate(s) should specify their skills and knowledge of equipment and software on the application form.
(3) The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and in designated places as assigned.
