A our new company A well-known and fast-expanding foreign bank is now looking for a Officer (12 Months Contract) to join their Trade Finance and Bills Operations. Your new role
- Support all daily Trade Operations (Imports, Exports, Letters of Credit, Guarantees and Bills for collection, Risk Participation).
- Responsible for Approval/Authorization/processing of Import LC issuance/amendment, bill booking and payment, document checking and Guarantees and Trust Receipts as per Bank's internal policies
- Responsible for ensuring that all trade finance activities are conducted strictly in line with bank credit lines granted to the customers, including organising, supervising and directing the activities of bills processing, import and export financing, establishment of L/C and bills payment
- Responsible for processing Trade Finance transactions, complying with the ICC rules and with the Bank's policies and procedures
- Observe that all related applications and documents presented by customer are in line with policy as well as to provide oversight of the daily work and activities of the Trade Operations to ensure that the business is carried out in compliance with policies, rules and regulations.
What you'll need to succeed
- University graduate in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field of study.
- Minimum 8 years relevant hand-on experience in Trade Finance Operations
- Excellent oral and written communication skills (including report writing) in English; with applicable local language highly desirable but not required.
- Technical and practical knowledge of ICC rules, UCP, ISP, URR, Incoterms, URDG and URC, current revisions
