Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Reporting directly to Managing Director, the role will require a qualified accountant who has a track record in a strategic and commercial finance role, ideally from a fast paced, dynamic growing industry
• Provide leadership to the finance team for execution of financial processes, management accounts, currency cash flow, debt collection and risk management throughout the group.
• Contribute to strategic management discussions and decision making, providing constructive challenge and independent perspective.
• Review and prepare detailed budgets and forecasts; provide management insights with supportive predictive models
• Lead cost analysis and develop cost models to streamline processes
• Drive financial knowledge, and discipline into the organization
• Develop and provide business performance reports that enable business improvement
• Manage key financial relationships - bank, auditors, and government
• Manage group tax and regulatory compliance
• To ensure all statutory reports are completed accurately and in a timely manner
• Act as a key advisor to BUs on new commercial or marketing campaign initiative from financial analysis and assessment point of view
• Provide relevant business analytics, insights and forward-looking analysis to stakeholders 
• Trust and collaboration with the senior management will be crucial in this close working leadership team.

Skills and Qualifications

• A Bachelor or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration or related disciplines with HKICPA or other professional related qualifications
• Minimum 20 years’ experience in a finance leadership role, ideally coming from a background strong in big data, AI machine learning and digital platform systems
• Previous FP&A experience would be an advantage
• The candidate will need to be hands on, practical and have the ability to build strong relationships at all levels and also have the strength of character to challenge where appropriate.
• You will be confident at financial process design and implementation experience; strong analytic and attention to details,
• Strong commercial acumen and be able to communicate with C-level on strategic context and implications
• Ability to influence top management decisions through effective communications and sound big data analysis
• Effective leadership and be able to build team’s commercial strengths, problem solving capabilities and have a solutions-driven mindset serving all business units
