Job Description - Officer - Estates Office - Urgent Role

We are looking for a driven Officer - Estates Office to join our all-star team at Construction Industry Council (CIC) in Hong Kong.

The applicant must possess

  1. a recognised degree preferably in facilities management / building services / engineering / surveying or other construction related discipline;
  2. a minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification relevant hands-on technical and supervisory experience. Knowledge in BIM or IoT will be an advantage;
  3. solid project planning and management skills and can demonstrate strong abilities in organisation, setting priorities, documentation and multi-tasking;
  4. excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to interact with various stakeholders;
  5. a flexible mindset and the ability to work under pressure to meet the set objectives of the organisation; and
  6. excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; hands on experience in preparing manuals, schedules, tender documents and discussion papers is preferred.

Duties include

  1. to assist in planning, co-ordination, execution and monitoring of matters relating to the facilities repair & maintenance and project management at the CIC’s premises, which include campuses, training grounds, town offices, Customer Service Centre at MTR stations, CIC - Zero Carbon Park, etc;
  2. to support a repair and maintenance operation team to monitor the work of contractors in the provision of repair and maintenance to all CIC’s premises;
  3. to standardise and centralise the existing repair and maintenance contracts to all CIC’s premises;
  4. to provide daily operations and maintenance services with the purpose to enhance the quality and effectiveness of such operations;
  5. to provide assistance to new / renovation projects when required;
  6. to control and monitor the budget in relation to facilities management projects to all CIC's premises;
  7. to prepare tender briefs, tender documents and contracts and to draft recommendations;
  8. to assist in the initiatives related to “Green Environment” and “Energy Saving”; and
  9. to carry out any other duties as assigned from time to time by the Executive Director.
