Senior Merchandiser

We are seeking a  Merchandiser/ Senior Merchandiser for Peak Performance  to support Merchandising Manager on product development process, including sample follow-up & price control process for the collection. Additional tasks include maintaining the product development schedule & quality leveling up to brand’s requirement.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support Sample Follow-up Process

• Work in close cooperation with Product Developer & suppliers for different sample types follow-up to fulfill the meeting schedule at headquarter. 
• According to style setup, give input on how the style could be constructed in order to get the best possible product.

2. Price and Terms Negotiation

• Collect & analyze the product price breakdowns received from the suppliers & review with product developer for their comments & target. 
• Negotiate for reasonable prices, lead time & MOQ with T1 vendors for the collection

3. Quality level on products

• Ensure the quality level on sample products to meet the brand’s standard quality requirement
• Risk assessment on sample stage to secure the production process.

4. Team Supporting Functions

• Prepare and submit regular and ad hoc reports as per manager requirement.
• Support other team functions

5. Commitment on Responsible Purchasing

• Upholding Fair Labor Association’s Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing throughout the supply chain
• By working closely with the Amer Sports Global Sourcing Vendor Sustainability team on quarterly business reviews and training/capacity building 
• By adhering to negotiated lead times and balanced annual capacities to expedite responsible purchasing practices as outlined in the Responsible Sourcing Policy

 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile study, or equivalent.
• More than 5 years of professional experience in the industry & relevant experience
• Strong product knowledge in outerwear/ knit products
• Well organize, strong communication skill.
• Fluent in spoken & written English. Mandarin is a plus
• Strong communication and negotiation skill 
• Good personal skill, and team player
• Strong product knowledge
• Good at details
• Pricing & Negotiation skill
• Well organized and able to work multi-task
• Candidates with less experience will be considered as Merchandiser
