Superintendent, Baggage Handling System

This is a fixed-term contract position of minimum 2 years with possibility for renewal subject to organization need and individual performance.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out daily inspection, workmanship monitoring, testing and commissioning of engineering works of Baggage Handling System (BHS) and Smart Passenger Security Screening System (SPSS)
• Identify design and construction issues with design, maintenance and operation teams to provide effective solutions
• Review and comment on contractors' submissions on method statement, site management plan and programme, etc.
• Liaise with internal and external parties to ensure the works are conducted in safe and efficient manner with minimal impact to daily airport operations
• Assist in the management of works and coordinate with the maintenance and operation teams to ensure timely delivery and completion of works
• Ensure all engineering works are in compliance with the latest design codes and practices, the Authoritys requirements and relevant statutory requirements
• Perform shift duties including overnight shift if required

Require ments:

• Higher Diploma or Higher Certificate in Mechanical, Electronic, Electrical, Building Services Engineering or other related disciplines with at least 8 years' relevant working experience in supervision and maintenance of large scale electronic, electrical and mechanical projects. Degree holder with at least 4 years' relevant working experience will also be considered
• Candidate without the above specified academic qualification but have 12 years' relevant working experience will also be considered
• Solid experience in supervision of airport works especially in BHS and SPSS under a live operating environment will be an advantage
• Proactive, service oriented and be able to work independently
• Team player with good communication, interpersonal and organizing skills
• Possess a valid HK driving license (class 1, 2) is preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese. Knowledge of Putonghua is an advantage
