Job Overview

Responsibilities

• Providing technical advice in civil, geotechnical & structure aspect in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist in handling project and task assigned by the Group. Liaison with members from relevant business units to deliver high standard and high-quality services.
• Provide preliminary structural, geotechnical & civil engineering scheme independently, including searching relevant information.
• Provide technical input and evaluation on procurement of consultancy service and construction contract.
• Provide technical support to statutory submission, including application of approval, consent and of permit.
• Resolve major civil, geotechnical & structure problem affecting time, cost, quality, and engineering safety.
• Assist in monitoring of progress, budget, quality, safety, statutory and regulatory compliance of the projects and report any abnormalities and deviations.
• Implement random inspection/checking to site works and design works for quality control in civil, geotechnical & structure aspect.
• Provide recommendation and advice on the acceptance of completed works in full compliance with requirements of the contract.
• Might require full time staying on specific sites to perform duty.

Requirements

• Qualified professional Structural, Geotechnical or Civil Engineer, for example MIStructE, MICE, MHKIE or RPE.
• Bachelor Degree in Civil / Structural / Geotechnical Engineering or equivalent qualification is a must. Candidate with Master Degree in Civil / Structural / Geotechnical Engineering or Project / Construction Management or Construction Law or Facility Management has definite advantage.
• Minimum 7years' post-qualified related experience but not less than 12years' post-graduate working experience. At least 3years of hands-on experience in administration of building project. Candidates with more experience would be considered as Technical Manager.
• In-depth knowledge of structure design and analysis of all building elements.
• Well conversant with Code of practices from Buildings Departments, Buildings Ordinance & relevant Building Regulations.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and initiatively.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
