Department / Hospital : Cluster Facilities Management Department, Queen Elizabeth Hospital
Pay : HK$29,424 to HK$53,733 (HGPS point 11 to 23) per month including Monthly Allowance
Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Building Services Inspector / Clerk of Works on all aspects of supervision of building / building services works on site.
2. Supervise a team of technical staff, external consultant and contractors in managing, executing, and reporting of day-to-day maintenance works and improvement projects to the assigned institutions in Kowloon Central Cluster.
3. Monitoring of the progress and quality of works.
4. Upkeep site records including site record books and submission of all monthly returns.
5.Coordinate with users on their requirements and report on completion.
6. Coordinate with Safety Officers of contractors, Safety Auditor of consultants and other parties for monitoring safety and health matters.
7. Participate in testing and commissioning of buildings, engineering facilities, and hospital equipment;
8. Prepare, update and compile defects and outstanding work list after the completion of project up to the end of Defect Liability Period.
9.Provide support in procurement and supplies related activities such as sourcing, inventory management.
10. Certify work completion and prepare batch payment to contractors.
11. Assist in the analysis of all claims.
12. Work according to on-call/duty roster, attend emergency call and perform typhoon duty.
13. Any other duties as assigned by the supervisors.
Entry Requirements:
1. A Diploma or Higher Certificate in Building Services Engineering or Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or Building Studies from Hong Kong Polytechnic / Hong Kong Polytechnic University / Hong Kong Technical College / Hong Kong Technical Institute / Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education; or equivalent.
2. (a) Grade E or above in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in HKCEE;
OR
(b) Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in HKDSE, or equivalent.
3. At least 3 years of relevant experience such as building services installation works and/or building projects after attaining the required academic qualification.
4. Obtained valid Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate (Green Card).
1. A university degree of related Construction/ Surveying/ Engineering discipline or equivalent.
2. Experience in supervising maintenance and improvement works of buildings and facilities .
3. Experienced in health-care projects .
4. Possessing the following valid certification / license would be an advantage:
· Certificate of Registration of Electrical Worker (Grade B or above)
· Certificate of Certified Worker under confined spaces regulation
· Certificate of Competent Person under confined spaces regulation
· Certificate in Safety and Health for Supervisors (Construction)
6. Good report writing skills in English and Chinese.
7 . Knowledge of AutoCAD, BIM and MS Office including both Chinese and English word processing, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
8. Responsible, self-motivated and able to work independently under minimum supervision.
9. Able to work on shift and on-site/off-site on call duties .
