Data Engineer Professional Service Firm

Our client is a leading professional service firm, they are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Engineer. You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our data infrastructure and systems. Your expertise will enable them to extract valuable insights and drive informed decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design efficient data solutions
• Develop and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration workflows
• Implement data models and data structures to support business intelligence, analytics, and reporting needs
• Conduct data profiling, cleansing, and transformation to ensure data quality and integrity
• Optimize and tune database performance to handle large volumes of data efficiently
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering and recommend innovative solutions

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer
• Strong proficiency in SQL and database technologies (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
• Experience with ETL tools and data integration platforms (e.g., Informatica, Talend, Apache NiFi).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a bonus
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and data governance principles
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment
