Due to the continued growth and success of our client, a US based Global IT vendor, a dynamic opportunity has arisen for a Development Technical Consultant position working in Hong Kong. 
Candidate with less experience will be considered as Application Developer/ Associated Development Technical Consultant.

Candidates will be based in Hong Kong and must be prepared to work in a global team to develop world class software applications / business solutions to the clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Providing onsite and remote software technical consulting with the company’s products and systems to ensure customers are able to successfully deploy into production.

• Assisting customers and partners with designing, developing and deploying business process automation projects.

• Producing regular progress reports to the regional solutions manager, including information which may impact target achievements or service delivery.

• Configuring and developing custom code using .NET technologies that allows the product to meet the business needs of the customer.

• Maintaining ongoing documentation of consulting activities and delivering end-of-engagement reports.

• Conducting independent technical research using company supplied research tools, databases, knowledge bases, etc. in order to find solutions to meet customer requirements.

• Contributing to library of internal and customer-facing technical content.

• Providing training and mentoring as required.

• Interfacing with customers and partners on general and specific issues and involving other experts as necessary.

• Working with Hong Kong region team members to assist development and coding and problem solving work from presales to post-sales cycle.

• Providing first and second level support to ensure customer expectations of product and service are satisfied.

• Responding to customer inquiries via telephone, online networks and e-mail.

• Participating in “test-driving” of new products or solutions. 

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree holder in CS/IS/IT or any related discipline.

• At least 2-5 years hands-on experience in MS-Windows apps and web-based application development by using MS-Visual Studio /ASP.NET / Javascript.

• 2-5 years business application / software development and/or software consulting experience.

• Industry-specific certification preferred (i.e. MCP, MCSD, MCSE, MCDBA, MCPD or MCTS, preferred MSDN competency).

• Proficient in Microsoft focused technologies using SharePoint, SQL Server & IIS.

• Knowledge in Business Process and/or Workflow Design is highly desirable.

• Fast-paced, good analytic skills, detail-minded and result-oriented.

• Ability to work non-standard business hours to accommodate business needs.

• Must be willing to work on customer site from time to time 

• Excellent technical and communication skills of both written & spoken English is required.  Ability to write professional and technical reports and procedures.
