Digital Learning Content Specialist

Reports to:  Assistant Learning Manager – Digital Content

Department:  CXA - Cathay Academy

The person is responsible for the development of our digital learning experience. The person will be an integral part of the team that provides instructional design advice on digital learning. They will be working closely with learning content SME to curate the digital learning courses, and to develop digital learning solutions from the ideation, research, planning, course design, development, delivery and up to evaluation through adoption of various learning technologies and authoring tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with and provide support to teams within Cathay Academy as well as the divisional stakeholders in digital learning experience design, and to deliver digital learning projects on time, to budget, and quality, which includes digital learning needs analysis, ideation, research, design, development of digital instructional materials 
• Apply instructional design theories, practice, and methods into digital learning solutions creation
• Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), multimedia designer, and vendors to derive specifications of digital learning projects and advise on the development approach or method and tools 
• Support digital learning projects including liaising with various stakeholders and vendors, and coordinate with internal teams to resolve any system-related issues
• Develop effective and engaging storyboards, video scripts, job aids and other materials based on digital learning course design
• Work closely with the teams within Cathay Academy to design and create the digital learning courses and launch onto the learning management system.
• Help enable and coach the business to create their own digital learning content by facilitating authoring tool training, use of branded templates and other available Cathay media assets
• Stay appraised of the latest trends, digital tools and latest technologies in learning design and development, and share instructional design best practices with the team in the spirit of continuous improvement

Requirements

• Degree holder, preferably related to education / training related discipline
• At least three years of experience in eLearning / digital learning development, and a minimum 3 years’ experience in customer service, hospitality and/or cabin crew experience
• Strong knowledge of learning science and instructional design models
• Strong project management skills and proven experience in managing enhancement and/or eLearning / digital learning development projects 
• Proven experience in using Articulate 360 (e.g., Articulate Storyline and Rise 360) or similar course authoring tools is highly desired 
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Audition), Vyond, and other related IT applications or system will be an advantage
• Good command in English and Chinese, both written and verbal. 
• Good team player and able to work independently with strong sense of responsibility and loyalty 
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and under pressure
