Job Description - Manager - Passenger Information & Communications

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the management of passenger information and enhance customer experience during various stages of incidents, ensuring timely updates to both internal and external stakeholders on matters affecting the train services
  • Lead the Communication and Coordination Centre team at Tsing Yi Operations Control Centre (TSY-OCC) for efficient dissemination of passenger information via centralized public address systems for trains and stations and MTR Mobile’s Traffic News
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement passenger information initiatives focusing on traffic and incident-related communications, and contribute to the development of a smart Operations Control Centre
  • Review and assist in the enhancement of operating and emergency procedures, as well as equipment provision, to improve information flow and operational efficiency within the TSY-OCC
  • Create and produce informative and educational videos for train service update, promotional campaigns, and public awareness
  • Conduct thorough post-incident review for serious or major incidents, compiling management reports as and when required

Requirements

  • Degree in Communications/Journalism or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience, of which 5 years should be at supervisory level
  • Prior experience in aviation, public transport or mass communication is preferred
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken Chinese and English, preferably with proficiency in Putonghua
  • Strong communications abilities, interpersonal skills and analytical thinking

Remarks

  • Candidates with strong interests but with less experience may also be considered. A comprehensive operational training will be provided
