Job Summary:
As a Merchandise & Distribution Planner, you will play a crucial role in optimizing the distribution strategy and operations for the APAC region. You will be responsible for distribution planning, stock allocation, and re-balancing across 13 markets in APAC. Reporting to the Distribution Manager, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient supply chain management and enhance customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement distribution strategies to meet sales targets and optimize inventory levels across the APAC region.
- Collaborate with the Distribution Manager to create and execute comprehensive distribution plans for 13 markets.
- Monitor stock levels, sales forecasts, and market trends to make data-driven decisions on stock allocation and replenishment.
- Conduct regular analysis of sales data, product performance, and demand patterns to identify opportunities for improvement and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and logistics, to ensure alignment and effective execution of distribution plans.
- Optimize the allocation and replenishment processes to minimize stock-outs, excess inventory, and product obsolescence.
- Utilize Excel, PowerBI, and Anaplan to develop reports, dashboards, and analytical models to support distribution planning and decision-making.
- Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to distribution efficiency, customer service levels, and inventory management.
- Identify process improvements and contribute to the development and implementation of supply chain initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven 5 years of experience in distribution planning, stock allocation, and inventory management.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerBI, and Anaplan, with the ability to analyze and interpret data to drive insights and decision-making.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proactive mindset and ability to work independently, taking ownership of assigned responsibilities.
- Knowledge of APAC markets and distribution dynamics is highly desirable.
- Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in additional languages, such as Cantonese / Mandarin, would be an advantage.
