Team Head, Technology Infrastructure and Network Services

Business Function

Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

Job Objective

Be professional and lead the Network team in running daily operations, tackle tech debts and manage network initiatives, experience in other Infra Services and Data Centre operations is preferable. Govern intra-group outsourcing activities with Regional Head Office and local vendors for infrastructure delivery. Manage the IT budget including operating expenses and initiatives to ensure cost-effectiveness. Also, be the backup in managing the infrastructure team.

Responsibilities

• Plan and work with both Regional and local teams across technology units to deliver strategy initiatives
• Manage both local and outsourcing services providers to compile with the bank policies and standards
• Lead the teams to provide production support and to ensure high resiliency and reliability of the bank infrastructure
• Manage system changes, end-of-support refresh, system vulnerabilities and production problems & incidents promptly
• Monitor and review the infrastructure services are consistent with best industry practices
• Ensure infrastructure services are compliant with audit and information security requirements
• Ensure capacity planning exercise is carried out to address our business needs
• Ensure the operability and the execution of related disaster recovery plans or high availability tests
• Manage Infrastructure operating expenses, enhancement, and initiatives budget
• Cultivate and nurture staff

Requirement

• Strong working experience in IT of the Banking industry (minimum 10 years with degree holder), familiar with Banking technologies
• Extensive experience in the following areas:-
  • Strategic planning on infrastructure services
  • Vendor management, including local and outsourcing vendors
  • Technical support on VPN, data centre and building network infrastructure 
  • Staff coaching and people management
  • Financial management including IT budgets and monthly forecast
  • Risk management including compliant with security policies and audit review 
• Exposure to the following areas:
  • Open platform including ESXi VM, and AIX VIOS
  • voice and recording systems and infrastructure
  • User support including tools used in user computers
  • problem and change management processes
• Technical knowledge in managing network tools & devises including Cisco Nexus & ACI, Arista, Checkpoint, Pala Alto, Fortinet
• Strong knowledge of IP network and Banking technologies
• Extensive project management skills with restorative and analytical strengths for problem resolving
• Business and Customer driven
• Good team player and able to articular with staff at all levels
• Written/verbal communications skills in English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Mandarin)
