Assistant Head of Primary School

Job Description:

The Assistant Head of Primary School reports to the Head of Primary School directly. He/ she is responsible to work alongside the School Head and Senior Leadership Committee in leading and managing the school by formulating and reviewing the School Development Plan, the aims and objectives of the school to ensure school improvement and work with individuals and groups to ensure the provision of a high quality education for all our students, in particular, the primary students.

Apart from teaching, he/ She is also responsible for assisting in the day-to-day running of the school, maintaining a high profile around the school, being a role model for good classroom practice, leading on delegated areas of responsibility and contributing to the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare and personal well-being and care of students with regard to safeguarding procedures.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Hold a Bachelor Degree in relevant disciplines, with a qualified Teaching Qualification;
• Possess relevant teaching experience and experience in working in the DSS/ international education institutions is an added advantage;
• Passed the Basic Law and National Security Law Test as required by the EDB;
• Possess IB knowledge and relevant leadership experience is preferred;
• Possess at least 5 years of successful experience in the primary school classroom setting and working as a member of a team, and curriculum and instruction, with including not less than 3 years of IBPYP experience.
• To think out-of-the-box and be open minded to work in a culturally diverse environment.
