Job Description - HR Policy & Governance Manager

KOS International is a professional recruitment consultancy based in Hong Kong, committed to providing high quality HR solutions with superior efficiency for an extensive variety of clients ranging from small and medium enterprises to sizeable corporations, both local and international.

About our Client

Our client is a Chinese enterprise with strong business presence in multiple sector. They are currently looking for a HR Policy & Governance Manager to join the team.

About the Role

  • Conduct regular reviews of existing HR policies and procedures to identify areas for improvement or new policies needed. Update and revise policies as required.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, compliance, and operational departments, to develop and implement new HR policies.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on HR policies, providing guidance and training to managers and employees on policy interpretation and application.
  • Monitor changes in employment laws, regulations, and best practices, and update policies accordingly. Ensure the organization maintains compliance.
  • Manage the policy review and approval process, working closely with executive leadership to gain buy-in and approval for new or updated policies.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on HR policies and procedures.
  • Audit policy adherence and implementation, identify gaps or issues, and recommend solutions.
  • Maintain the central repository of all HR policies, procedures, and related documents.
  • Provide policy-related recommendations and insights to support strategic HR and business initiatives.

The Successful Candidate

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in HR policy development and management
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and training skills
  • Ability to think strategically and influence at all levels of the organization
  • Proficient in HR information systems and Microsoft Office suite
