Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and supervise drug distribution activities (including aseptic & cytotoxic dispensing) at hospital and affiliated clinic to ensure clinical appropriateness and accuracy of individual patient’s drug treatment;
• Support the implementation of Hospital and Pharmacy policies, guidelines and procedures as well as professional standards;
• Maintain overall responsibility for Pharmacy operation in assigned areas; contribute to and maintain good working relationship with other healthcare professionals;
• Deliver and maintain clinical pharmacy services such as drug information, patient education & healthcare professional training, therapeutic drug monitoring, etc. to ensure rational and effective drug use in accordance with contemporary standards and best practice;
• Collect, evaluate and consolidate drug information and evidence for drug master database and direct patient care; implement and support Pharmacy Information Systems and related applications;
• Assist Director of Pharmacy / Principal Pharmacist in monitoring of medication safety, performance of evaluations and audits as well as implementation of quality improvement

Job Requirements

• Holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent awarded by institutions recognised by the Pharmacy & Poisons Board of Hong Kong
• Holder of a postgraduate degree in relevant discipline is preferable
• Holder of a Certificate of Registration and a valid Practising Certificate issued by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Hong Kong
• At least 4 years’ post-registration experience as a Pharmacist
• Candidates with less experience may be considered for the post of Assistant Pharmacist
• Experience in hospital / clinic pharmacy practice is preferable
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated and highly organised
• Good communication and computer skills
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
• Knowledge in hospital pharmacy operations and Pharmacy IT systems

Compensation and Employment Terms

We provide a unique employment experience for people seeking careers in hospital and healthcare industry; and offer competitive remuneration packages to the successful candidates. Appointment will be made on a 3-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
