ImpactHK is a non-profit that provides the homeless in Hong Kong with food, shelter, education and employment opportunities. It believes in the power of kindness in tackling the pressing problem of homelessness in Hong Kong. Everyday ImpactHK is on the streets supporting the homeless with essentials, building trust and friendships. These friendships open doors towards housing, job creation, sports, counselling and other opportunities that empower our beneficiaries with pride, health and happiness. It is an innovative and dynamic organization that has helped more than 500 people into shelter in six year and supported many more with work, food and connection with community. It has a core team of more than thirty staff, as well as employing about ten formerly homeless individuals full time.

Job Description: 

Promotion of the “Age with Dignity: A Holistic Programme for Elderly Homeless Individuals” project work, with responsibilities as follows: 

1. Provide outreach services, including nursing services and organization of health related group activities, to homeless individuals over 50 in different districts using the " Holistic Therapeutic Community model”; 
2. Support the training of front-line staff and the implementation of health education;
3. Serve at community center for the homeless, and assist with center affairs;
4. Handle other assigned duties by supervisor. 

Position Requirements: 

• Holder of a valid Registered Nurse (Psychiatric / General) certificate and practicing certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong 
• Willingness to work outreach in the evenings
• Required to take shifts at the community center on weekends and public holidays
• Willing to serve marginalized communities, with a basic understanding and interest in issues concerning the homeless
• Proficient in computer operations, good written and verbal communication skills in Chinese and English
• Team player, able to handle work flexibly, willing to learn and accept challenges
• Graduating students are welcome to apply
