Aon is looking for a Data and Reporting Analyst to join our Sell-Side Solutions team based in Hong Kong.

The Sell-Side Solutions team is part of Aon’s Performance Solutions group. We partner with over 90 investment banks, execution brokers and advisory firms to deliver unparalleled expertise and quantitative insights on the Institutional Equities industry so they can improve their business performance, optimize their business models and drive profitable growth.

About the Role

This role will join a dynamic global team of industry consultants with a particular focus on the Institutional Equities industry. Working alongside senior leaders in the business, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery of our quarterly performance benchmark study and providing analytical input into consulting engagements.

Responsibilities include:

• Reviewing client data submissions for accuracy and quality
• Supporting the quarterly delivery cycle by creating bespoke reports/presentations, attending client meetings, and responding to ad hoc client requests
• Analysing and visualising data to deliver key findings and insights to clients and colleagues
• Contributing to consulting engagements by conducting quantitative analysis leveraging Aon’s proprietary data and analytics
• Conducting research on existing and emerging trends in banking and capital markets
• Supporting our sales process by tracking client engagement and setting up introductory meetings with prospective clients
• Collaborating with a global team to further develop existing products/analyses, improve internal processes and overall team efficiency

Skills and experience that will lead to success

• Bachelors in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, or other relevant field of study, with proven academic excellence
• 3-5 years work experience preferably in the financial services industry or with a data analytics/consulting firm
• Passion for using quantitative data to uncover insights and drive business performance
• Strong analytical skills – adept at working with large-scale datasets
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, combined with excellent client service
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Creative problem-solving ability, comfortable working in ambiguous situations
• Proactive, organized, and detail oriented; able to ensure rigor and accuracy while meeting deadlines
