Senior Research Officer/Research Officer

Asia-Pacific Institute of Ageing Studies (APIAS) of Lingnan University is inviting applications for a position of Senior Research Officer/Research Officer to produce high quality academic journal publications and prepare grant applications, especially in the areas of informal carers, ageing in place and Chinese social policies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct literature review
• Analyze and report quantitative and qualitative data
• Prepare manuscripts for academic publications
• Prepare grant proposals
• Support the publication of research reports and academic books
• Support the implementation of research and community projects

Requirements

• A degree in Social Sciences, Social Policy, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or Health Studies with a substantial research experience
• For the post of Senior Research Officer, a relevant Doctoral degree is preferred
• Good knowledge and experiences in conducting qualitative and quantitative research studies
• Excellent writing proficiency in English and Chinese
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking

Salary and Benefits

The rank and commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits and mandatory provident fund. Appointment will normally be made on contract basis for up to 12 months.
