Job Summary

Answer phones, make dining reservations, and enter dining information into the reservation system. Maintain waiting lists and quote accurate wait times. Use the station rotation chart to make appropriate seating decisions. Seating arrangements for large and special needs groups. Greet guests and determine the size of their party. Seating guests by finding a clean, available table, pulling out chairs, placing clean/current menus in front of guests, etc. Guide guests through the dining room and offer any assistance needed. Make sure the venue is set up appropriately and that each participant has napkins, clean silverware, and any other items found in a standard venue setting. Keep work areas clean throughout the day. Monitor restaurant seating availability, service and security. Communicate with guests and other employees to meet guest needs and ensure employees are working together as a team.

Assist management in recruiting, training, scheduling, evaluating, consulting, disciplining and motivating and mentoring employees and serving as a role model. Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures to report accidents, injuries and unsafe working conditions to manager and complete safety training and certification. Ensure uniforms and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Welcomes and handles all guests according to company standards. Use clear and professional language when speaking to others and answer the phone with appropriate etiquette. Establish and maintain positive working relationships with others, support the team in achieving shared goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards. Standing, sitting, or walking for long periods of time. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisor Job Responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Relevant work experience: At least 1 year of relevant work experience.

Supervisory experience: No supervisory experience.

License or Certification: None
