Department/ Hospital: Facilities Management & Supporting Services, Kowloon Hospital
Pay: HK$29,424 to HK$53,733 (HGPS point 11 to 23) per month including Monthly Allowance
Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.
Key Responsibilities:
The appointee shall report to the Unit Head with assistance of a team of technical staff in supervising and managing the works agents on the execution of major and minor capital works projects, Term Maintenance Contracts, budgeting and Day-to-Day maintenance works in hospital. The appointee shall mainly be responsible for the following duties:
2. Assist in the planning and implementation of major and minor capital works projects.
3. Assist in the budgetary planning and expenditure monitoring of budget votes for day-to-day maintenance and small scale improvement / repair works.
4. Monitor and report the progress of works, standard of materials and workmanship against the contract requirements and other recognized standards.
5. Supervise, monitor and report the performance of contractors and consultants.
6. Conduct daily site inspections and maintain a site diary.
7. Assist in enhancing quality, safety and environmental performance on site.
8. Ensure statutory compliance for the serving hospitals on Facilities Management aspects.
9. Liaise with users’ representatives, contractors, consultants and other parties on matters relating to users’ requirements, access, disturbance, programme, cost etc., for efficient execution of works on site.
10. Any other duties as assigned, e.g. job rotation to other posts within and outside the department.
Entry Requirements:
OR
(b) Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in HKDSE, or equivalent.
1. 3 years of working experience in the capacity of Work Supervisor.
2. Degree in Civil or Structural or Building Services Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering , Building Studies, Surveying, or equivalent construction related subjects
3. Working experience in building consultancy, property management and contracting firm with relevant professional qualification.
4. Knowledge in Heating, Mechanical Ventilation and Air conditioning or/and Electrical Services.
5. Holder of Registered Electrical Worker Grade B or above issued by EMSD.
6. Knowledge of facilities management software, AutoCAD, BIM, and MS Office including both Chinese and English word processing, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
7. Good report writing skills.
8. Good interpersonal and leadership skills.
10. Self-motivated, responsible and able to work independently .
11. Experience in operation and maintenance of healthcare facilities is an advantage.
