The appointee shall report to the Head and provide support to School and the Institute in the development and implementation of enhancement strategies in English language teaching. The appointee will provide strong academic leadership in curriculum design and the formulation of effective learning and teaching strategies; produce teaching and learning materials, as well as other curriculum resources; teach and supervise student work; foster a culture of teamwork and lead the English language team as a Team Leader; participate in scholarly activities, including applied research and consultancy services. Requirements:
The successful candidate should have a recognised Doctoral degree in Language Education, English Language or Applied Linguistics or relevant disciplines, with native or native-like proficiency in English. Professional qualification in English Language teaching will be an advantage. Preference will be given to candidates with rich experience in developing learning and teaching materials (including English for professional purposes, self-access, and e-learning materials), and expertise in technology-enhanced learning. Notes:

(3) The appointee may be required to perform duties at different sites and work irregular hours, shifts and on Saturdays and Sundays.
