Executive Officer I / II
The Centre for Health Behaviours Research is hiring a staff to oversee and co-ordinate a Jockey Club funded research project on secondary school students. The candidate should have extensive experience in managing school projects. The appointee will work very closely with and be supervised by the Principal Investigator (PI). The Centre has been actively engaged in various public health research projects in Hong Kong and the Mainland. Emphasis is put on interdisciplinary approaches and practical applications.
The appointee will work at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Shatin, and will be responsible for (a) overseeing and co-ordinating a large-scale Jockey Club funded research project on secondary school students; (b) supervising the project team; (c) liaising with funder, research partner and stakeholders on project co-ordination; and (d) reporting regularly to PI and assist in report writing.
Applicants should have (i) a Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree; (ii) fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website: ; (iii) at least 8 years’ post-qualification executive experience; (iv) previous experience in co-ordination of research project; (v) good interpersonal and communication skills; and (vi) an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including fluency in Cantonese). Experience in managing Jockey Club funded project is preferred. Those with less but at least 4 years’ post-qualification executive experience may be considered for appointment as Executive Officer II.

Appointment will initially be made on 1-year contract commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
