Finance Manager (REF: A/FM/FSD/SCMPW)

The Tung Wah Group of Hospitals is the largest charitable organization in Hong Kong. At present, we offer medical and health, education, community, historical and cultural heritage preservation, and traditional services to the community with over 360 service centres spreading over the territory of Hong Kong.

Location: Sheung Wan

Roles & responsibilities:

• Monitor and perform maintenance of general ledger, payment functions and other finance related activities in accordance with pre-defined accounting guidelines, policies and procedures;
• review annual financial budgetary plans and cash flow forecast based on the Group’s financial capability for supervisor’s approval;
• liaise and coordinate with Information Technology Division to develop/enhance various application systems;
• review financial statements and returns;
• supervise and provide guidance and appropriate training to subordinate;
• formulate/revise/review/develop the daily workflow, accounting and related systems/policies; and
• perform any duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate should have/be:

• (a) a recognized degree in Accounting/Business or equivalent with 7 years’ accounting/auditing supervisory experience, and
  (1) a registered student of HKICPA with successful completion of any 2 qualification programme modules or
  (2) a registered student of ACCA with successful completion of any 10 papers or equivalent; or
  (b) a qualified accountant with 4 years’ post-qualification experience; and
• preferably auditing experience.

Compensation & employment terms:

The successful candidate will initially be offered a 3-year contract with a remuneration package which will be commensurate with his/her background and experience. The continuation of employment and employment terms thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement. Apart from contributions to the MPF Scheme, other benefits include paid annual leave, medical services, a dental scheme and training sponsorships. The incumbent will normally work under a 5-day week schedule subject to operational needs and exigencies of the service.
