Senior Project Officer

The Tung Wah Group of Hospitals is the largest charitable organization in Hong Kong. At present, we offer medical and health, education, community, historical and cultural heritage preservation, and traditional services to the community with over 360 service centres spreading over the territory of Hong Kong.

Location: Sheung Wan

Roles & responsibilities:

• Conduct regular checking on statutory requirements and existing applied scheme, Energy Saving Charter, Water Safety Scheme and Energy Audit;
• coordinate with users, maintenance teams or consultants to develop proper maintenance contract;
• provide recommendation of innovative Electrical and Mechanical (E&M) system;
• participate in new developed projects to check and review E&M system;
• evaluate the performance and support the maintenance cost forecast and planning;
• inspect and examine existing E&M contractor’s performance;
• develop energy saving and audit for the Group;
• attend emergency calls and urgent duties round the clock; and
• perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate should have/be:

• a recognized degree in electrical/mechanical/building services disciplines;
• at least 3 years’ working experience in construction or maintenance work, preferably with working experience at government/hospitals/clinic projects;
• proficient in AUTOCAD, at least 2 trades out of Mechanical Ventilation and Air Conditioning (MVAC), electrical system, plumbing, drainage and fire services;
• familiar with E&M statutory requirements and trouble-shooting; and
• preferably registered as a Registered Electrical Worker.

Compensation & employment terms:

The successful candidate will initially be offered a 3-year contract with a remuneration package which will be commensurate with his/her background and experience. The continuation of employment and employment terms thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement. Apart from contributions to the MPF Scheme, other benefits include paid annual leave, medical services, a dental scheme and training sponsorships. The incumbent will normally work under a 5-day week schedule subject to operational needs and exigencies of the service.
