Technical Officer (holding the functional title of Embryologist Trainee) in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 526387)(to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Biomedical Sciences or a related discipline, preferably with experience in handling embryos and sperm, and be registered as a medical laboratory technologist (MLT).

The appointee will carry out routine embryologist's duties to provide ART services conduct clinical research and work in the IVF laboratory managed by HKU in the Assisted Reproduction Unit at the University's teaching hospitals. On-the-job training will be provided. Working outside normal office hours and/or on public holidays may be required.
