The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi or Institute) offers 22 innovative degree programmes across our 6 Academic Departments, namely Department of Food and Health Sciences, Department of Construction, Environment and Engineering, Department of Sport and Recreation, Department of Hospitality and Business Management, Department of Design and Architecture, and Department of Digital Innovation and Technology, that are vocationally and professionally oriented and developed with significant industry input. Major Duties :
The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator (PI) in implementing research activities involved in preparing for the launching of the project.
He/she will be responsible for the following tasks: (i) literature review; (ii) data collection and data analysis; (iii) liaison with participants; (iv) designing and preparing questionnaires; (v) conducting pilot testing of survey instruments; (vi) supervising student helpers in data collection and data entry; (vii) drafting research report; (viii) designing and managing project website; and (ix) other research and administrative duties as assigned by the PI.
Requirements :
Applicants should have: (i) a recognised sub-degree, preferably a recognised degree in social science, mainly business research, or related discipline; (ii) strong background in quantitative research methods and advanced statistical techniques; (iii) proficiency in common computer software applications including Mplus; (iv) training or background in set up experiments and longitudinal design, especially in the area of management; (v) good written and oral communication skills in English and Chinese. Past experiences in management research and publications will be highly preferable.
Notes :
(1)The appointee may be required to perform duties at different sites and work irregular hours, shifts and on Saturdays and Sundays.
(2)The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
