Design Support Engineer

Responsibilities

• Undertake design tasks with emphasis on passenger trains and Point Machine enhancement projects
• Provide in-house design technical solutions for site-specific conditions and design changes, as well as develop technical and working drawings for effective implementation of improvement works
• Carry out investigation on mechanical operation and maintenance issues
• Make recommendations to address technical problems of the existing system design and propose long term technical solutions
• Compile technical specifications, review design submissions, attend site inspection and testing & commissioning activities

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• A minimum of 5 years’ relevant design experience, of which 2 years should be in design capacity
• Solid experience in rolling stock design, non-destructive testing, information technology and project management is an advantage
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese

Remarks

• Candidates with less experience will be considered for the Support Engineer - Rolling Stock Engineering position
