Graduate Geologist

Job Description

Join our visionary Engineering Geological Team and become enrolled in our Geological Society of London Accredited Training Scheme to develop towards Chartership and professional recognition as a Geologist (CGeol) as you learn to provide design solutions for civil, structural and geotechnical projects, and develop a range of geological skillsets including:

• Geological mapping, field survey techniques and field data collection;
• Soil, rock and groundwater sample and data analyses to understand geological hazards and geotechnical works;
• Technical input for:
• ground data collection and desk studies; 
• development of 2D/3D geological models including interpretive analyses; 
• aerial photograph interpretation (API) and integration of LiDAR with field survey; and 
• rock mapping and kinematic analysis. 
• Specialist software applications in geospatial analyses, numerical modelling and kinematic analyses;
• Geological assessments for natural terrain hazard studies, landslide investigation, and design of infrastructure, foundations, reclamation, tunnelling and caverns;
• Technical report input providing ground models and assessment for geotechnical and infrastructure design;
• Site and ground investigation planning and supervision, including laboratory tests.

Requirements

• A strong academic background with a BSc degree in Geology or Engineering Geology
• Confident, enthusiastic and keen to learn in a team environment
• Fluent in English or Cantonese, Putonghua fluency an advantage
• Keen outdoors interest with a passion for observation and exploration
• Interest in geomatics, geospatial analysis, remote sensing, AI and ML, and digital data management
• Numerical, analytical and statistical skills with a desire to learn
