Job Description - Legal & Regulatory Officer

Responsibilities:

  • Support Legal Counsel in reviewing and / or arranging execution for all legal documents for MPF and ORSO Schemes, SFC funds and HKMA TB-1 trusts and other products;
  • Keep update of laws and regulations from time to time and identify their impact on the Company
  • Provide regulatory and legal input on advisory matters on legal, regulatory and licensing requirements, including covering legal and regulatory documentation according to the direction of his/her manager.
  • Manage, organize and update internal document database for executed legal documents according the company procedure. 
  • Assist in finalization and execution of legal contracts and documents
  • Perform proof reading for various legal documents and English/Chinese translations
  • Handle ad-hoc matters and requests as assigned by his / her manager 
  • Perform stock take of legal documents on an annual basis and update related legal policy and procedures 
  • Assist in the renewal of professional insurance policies as required by regulations

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in law, business, finance or related discipline
  • At least 2 years relevant experience in legal, compliance or audit field(s) in finance related industry
  • Experience in MPF, pensions and fund management industry will be an advantage
  • Positive attitude, independent, detail minded person with good interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in PC applications including Excel, Word and Power point presentation
  • Excellent command in written and spoken English, Chinese and Putonghua
