Job Description - Project Manager

Job Description : We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in government projects to join our team at. As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and delivering application development-related projects for government clients. Your expertise in managing government projects and your passion for delivering innovative solutions will contribute to the growth and success of our organisation.

Responsibilities :

  1. Lead and manage end-to-end project delivery for government projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  2. Collaborate closely with government clients to understand their requirements, provide expert insights, and translate them into actionable project plans.
  3. Effectively communicate project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders, and develop strategies to mitigate potential challenges.
  4. Coordinate and oversee cross-functional project teams, including developers, designers, and other stakeholders, to ensure smooth execution.
  5. Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and procurement activities, ensuring optimal utilisation of resources.
  6. Conducted regular project status meetings, facilitated effective communication, and fostered strong relationships with clients and internal and offshore teams.
  7. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the enhancement of project management methodologies within the organisation.

Requirements :

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience as a Project Manager, specifically in managing government projects related to application development.
  3. Strong understanding of government procurement processes, compliance requirements, and project delivery within the public sector.
  4. Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  5. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  6. Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing external vendors.
  7. Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience with project management tools.
  8. Government project experience in the Asia-Pacific region is highly desirable.
  9. Possession of a Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification is highly desirable.
  10. Agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) would be an advantage.
