For our team in Hong Kong, located at our subsidiary ZAMA Corporation Ltd, we are seeking an experienced Buyer . The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in assisting/managing projects related to the expansion of our diverse range of garden tools and accessories, ensuring seamless coordination with our partners in the region and the headquarters in Germany.
Key responsibilities:-
- Responsibility of commercial and contractual interfaces between project team, internal stakeholders, and external cooperation partners
- Conception, coordination and negotiation of framework and project contracts
- Team member in projects for the expansion of our product portfolio
- Goal-oriented cooperation in interdisciplinary and international project teams
- Structured transfer to series responsibility after successful market launch
- Identification and establishment of relationships with reputable OEM/ODM suppliers in SEA and China. Negotiate favorable terms to secure competitive pricing and superior product quality
- Collect market trends and introduce new product ideas to the company in order to expand the product portfolio
- Conduct comprehensive cost analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining the highest product standards
Requirements & qualification:-
- Degree in the field of Industrial Engineering, Economics/Business Administration or similar. Proven technical knowledge in electrical and/or mechanical field
- Substantial experience in sourcing and procurement, specifically in OEM/ODM industry, ideally within the South East Asia region
- In-depth knowledge of electronics and mechanics in OEM/ODM products, along with a solid understanding of market trends is a plus
- Strong negotiation and communication skills to build and maintain lasting supplier relationships
- Pragmatism, solution orientation and decisiveness, target-oriented and interdisciplinary way of working
- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Good command of both speaking and written English and Chinese as well as written
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PPT and Chinese word processing. Familiar with SAP system is definitely an advantage
