Responsibilities:
To supervise and manage the Agency’s “Governance, Risk and Compliance Unit”.
To prepare and maintain internal policies and guidelines and deal with the Agency’s legal, governance, and compliance matters.
To assist Chief Executive’s work in Legal Support Steering Committee (comprised of Executive Committee’s members, senior management staff and legal practitioners).
To report and be accountable to Chief Executive, give all-round support on legal, governance and compliance matters, and work for quality excellence.
Requirements:
LLB (or equivalent) from any common law jurisdiction or related disciplines.
A minimum of 8 years of experience in corporate law, privacy law, compliance, governance, or related fields.
Experience in providing legal guidance on organisational image, reputation, data protection and interest preservation.
Good interpersonal skills, self-motivated with excellent communication skills to effectively articulate legal and governance matters to stakeholders.
Strong leadership abilities in cultivating positive working culture for quality improvements.
Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese.
Familiarity with government or non-profit organisation is an advantage.
