Job Description - Associate Manager, Operations Development

Job Summary:

The Associate Manager, Operations Development monitors and supports the expansion capital projects, and special projects from Design & Construction to Completion, Turnover stages taking the role of operation’s representative. He / she will be focus more on the project integration with the project team and different Line of Business (LOB), monitoring the project progress start from consolidating data together with Industrial Engineering for scope building to different management review. Coordinating meetings and working session, assisting in preparing Park & Resort Master Project schedules and presentation material for Senior Management and project accountable leaders’ review.

Job Responsibilities:

- Responsible for the construction site monitoring

  • Acting as Operation’s representative to attend periodic site walk and project meeting with Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) / Facility Services (FS) to understand the progress and identify the concerns/ issue with operation.
  • Coordinating with LOBs on periodic site walks, operation readiness and move-in schedule. 
  • Work with WDI/FS to see any contractors / workers issue which impacting Operations and work out solutions such as site accessibility & control, temporary office, transportation, on-stage control, etc. 
  • Handling logistic process and project schedule.

- Responsible for the Park Expansion program with WDI & IFP projects with FS

  • Provide Operation input on the Capital Projects through planning, design, construction and turn-over.
  • Manage design change with WDI/ FS during construction stage.
  • Coordinating with LOBs on the logistic arrangement for new development projects.
  • Ensure the schedules of all operation activities and with no safety concern.
  • Explore options for resolving issue during the construction.

- Documentation of the different projects

  • Establish documentation library for the project for the team member easy reference.
  • Assist in preparing and mastering the Park & Resort Project Master Development Program.
  • Preparing punch list document, turn-over deliverable, training, operation guides with operation & WDI.

- Coordinate license submission issue with respective LOBs and maintaining a close and good relationship with WDI, related LOBs and Government Authorities for the better project management.

  • Coordinating licensing inspection schedule and prepare necessary document for inspection.
  • Share the design requirement with related LOBs during the project initial process.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Operations Management, Travel & Tourism Management, Hotel Management, Project Management or related subjects.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Experience in project management and managerial role in Operations are preferred.
  • Excellent in project management skills. Strong computer skills including spreadsheets, PowerPoint and statistical modelling tools is preferable.
  • Strong partnering, negotiation and interpersonal skills, able to work collaboratively with cross functional partners.
  • Good verbal and written skills in both English and Chinese, including solid presentation and communication skills.
